Bull Moose Marketing

Since its founding in 2017, Bull Moose Marketing has evolved from a small startup agency into a recognized regional expert operating at the intersection of tourism, economic development and planning.

That evolution became especially evident in 2025, as the agency built on prior momentum with a second consecutive year of profitability and an expanding portfolio of complex, highvisibility projects across the region.

Throughout the year, Bull Moose Marketing continued to help rural destinations define and communicate a clear, authentic promise — one that aligns tourism promotion with long-term community priorities.

The agency delivered multiple destination strategies, including work with the Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau, home of the annual Goose Day celebration. Each engagement reinforced Bull Moose’s core belief that effective destination marketing must reflect not only what attracts visitors but also what sustains communities over time.

Closer to home, the agency partnered with local leaders and stakeholders to develop the brand strategy supporting downtown revitalization efforts led by the Meadville Community Revitalization Corporation. Bull Moose was also deeply involved with regional partners working to better align marketing efforts aimed at attracting both visitors and potential new residents, recognizing that workforce attraction and tourism promotion increasingly rely on the same narrative of place.

In 2025, Bull Moose Marketing also introduced a new visual identity and website, marking an important shift in how the agency presents its expertise and experience. The refreshed brand reflects a more confident, contemporary identity grounded in nearly a decade of hands-on destination work.

Another defining focus of the year was significant investment in advanced artificial intelligence skills across the entire team. Rather than adopting AI as a tactical shortcut, Bull Moose developed a strategic understanding of how emerging tools can strengthen research, planning, website development and internal operations, according to owner Ron Mattocks.

Looking ahead to 2026, Bull Moose Marketing is positioned for its most ambitious year to date. Priorities include expanding thought leadership, delivering two major initiatives — a comprehensive marketing plan for a large Pennsylvania tourism region and a grant-funded program supporting the state’s distilled spirits industry — and deploying practical AI solutions for main street businesses with limited time, budgets and technical capacity constraints.
